Fire Hydrant Maintenance Notice

North Weld will be performing routine fire hydrant maintenance in the community over the next month.

During this time, each fire hydrant will undergo a comprehensive 20-point inspection, along with mechanical and aesthetic servicing as needed. As part of this process, hydrants will be flushed for approximately 2–15 minutes each to remove silt and debris from the water lines and ensure optimal performance for 2026.

Residents may notice large amounts of water running down the streets throughout the day. This is a normal part of the maintenance process and may resemble a water leak. Before reporting a concern, residents are encouraged to look for maintenance crews actively working in the area.
